Homeschool Convention Tip #8

Homeschool Convention Tip #8

After the Convention

What you do after the convention is just as important as what you do before and during the convention.  Even though you may be tired and still a bit overwhelmed, there are two more things you can do.  So, let’s get started with the homeschool convention tip #8.

First, share your enthusiasm with your children.  This is in hopes of building their excitement for the upcoming school year.  However, do not be surprised if your children do not share your excitement.

Second, gather and review your workshop notes.  If your handwriting is illegible or the notes need clarification, type and print the notes.  Place the notes and any related catalogs in a file folder.  Place the file folder on a shelf beside the corresponding books or supplies.  This will be a great help when you begin your lesson planning.

Final Thoughts

This concludes the series of homeschool convention tips.  I want to leave you with a final bit of advice.  Attend at least one convention during your homeschooling years.  After you have mastered your first convention, you will most likely look forward to following year’s event with great anticipation.

Blessings, Angie
