Welcome to the H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting Blog!  I am so glad you have stopped by.  I look forward to getting to know you.  As a homeschool parent, I am passionate about homeschooling and enjoy helping other parents home educate their children. Therefore, I created this blog with you in mind.  To help you feel at home here, please allow me to give you a “guided tour” of my blog.

Do you include poetry in your homeschooling?  I do not purposely do so.  My children do receive exposure to poetry through their regular curriculum.  April is a good time to learn about poetry since it is National Poetry Month.  There are numerous resources to help with teaching poetry.  Below are a few I have found.

Product Review

 

There are very few curricula that excite my daughter.  The e-Science Learning Program from Supercharged Science is among an elite group of homeschool science curriculum she likes and wants to use.  That means positive attitudes and a happy mom.

My daughter has studied science a bit differently this year.  She has spent several weeks studying introductory courses in preparation for high school chemistry and physics.  She had completed both the courses and was ready to move on to astronomy when the opportunity to review the e-Science Premium Membership a (six month subscription to the full website) through the Old Schoolhouse Review Crew became available.  The online course is perfect for exploring different subjects of science and for in-depth studies.
