H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting Blog

Welcome to my H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting Blog.

Thank you for visiting my H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting Blog.  Hi! I am Angie McFarren a Homeschool Consultant and the owner of H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting.

As a homeschool parent, I am passionate about homeschooling and enjoy helping other parents home educate their children.  Therefore, I created this blog with you in mind.  To help you feel at home here, please allow me to give you a “guided tour” of my blog.

Here you will find homeschool information, tips, words of wisdom, product reviews, product giveaways, and more.

In the menu bar, you find how to  contact me, subscribe to this blog,  as well as a link to my primary website, H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting.  You will also find drop down menus leading you to links for homeschool assistance, free resources, and other pages you may find interesting.  Be sure to sign up for the free mini-course and the homeschool tips newsletter.

At the top of the page and in the right side bar, are opportunities for you to follow my blog and my other social media sites.  Please let your friends know about this blog for may find it beneficial as well.  You may even want to share my blog with others by adding my buttons to your blog.  You will find my buttons at the bottom of the page.

In the right side bar, you will find my company sponsors.  I carefully choose the companies I represent and will only represent those companies that I feel will benefit the homeschool community.  Please bless my sponsors by visiting their websites. You will also see a few of the homeschool products I recommend. There are even more curriculum suggestions on my H.O.P.E. Home School Consulting website.

If you are wanting to learn how to homeschool, please visit my Educate the Home Educator website.  There you will find my eBook, Educate the Home Educator Crash Course, which provides the information you need to learn how to start homeschooling. The course is definitely applicable for existing homeschool moms as well.  Please be sure to read what other moms are saying.

If you enjoy receiving inspiration, encouragement, and validation that you are doing everything you can to provide your children with a great home education, you will want to learn about the Gold H.O.P.E. Club.

You may learn more about what I offer on my Homeschool Help web page.

Fee free to leave comments on my blog posts.  To do so, please click on the title links. The titles are in large print at the very top of each post.  The link will take you to the actual blog post page.  You will find the box to leave your comment at the bottom of that page.

For your convenience, I have added three options for finding information on a particular topic: Category, Archives, and Search.  The search box is at the top of the page.

I am here to Help Other Parents Educate and that includes you.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.  Feel free to leave comments on my blog posts.

Blessings,

 Angie McFarren, Homeschool Consultant

“The better a person’s survival skills, the better the chances that person has of surviving a difficult crisis.”    ~ Hands of a Child

The camping season will soon begin.  There will be many adventures and possibly scary moments.  I am not talking about listening to scary stories around a camp fire.  I am referring to when things go wrong such as the vehicle will not start when you are in the boonies and it is snowing with no one else around to help; or you are boating and your boat has capsized; or when you are hiking and become lost; or any other type of mishap.  Preparing in advance by learning basic survival skills will be to you and your loved ones’ advantage.  The ladies at Hands of a Child graciously provided me with their Basic Survival Skills for Diverse Conditions Note Pack for completing this product review.  This unit study will give you the tools you need to prepare for an adventure that has gone awry.

Fun Friday

This is a combination post: Fun Friday, sponsored post, and it contains affiliate links.

Project Day

Watercolors, building fires, work on product reviews, laundry, and a baseball game.  Our Friday is turning into a project day and more.  There is always something during the week we meant to do and for one reason or another it did not work out.  So for our Fun Friday we will take the time to complete an art project and build a fire.  The laundry does not qualify as fun but it is a must.  Then this evening my son and I will go to his baseball game.  That is his idea of a Fun Friday.  Go Titans!
